Life is better when lived within a community. Read below for information on how to become a member of Salem United Church of Christ, the membership requirements, and how to terminate membership.
At Salem United Church of Christ, we welcome people of all ages and stages of life into membership. Membership can happen in a variety of ways. A person can be baptized as an infant, and that baptism can be confirmed as membership. A person can be baptized as an adult and complete membership confirmation coursework. A person who is already baptized can take the oath of membership and covenant. If you're interested in becoming a member, contact the church office.
When you join Salem United Church of Christ, you receive a Certificate of Membership, access to regular opportunities for personal and spiritual growth, access to regular opportunities for serving and giving back, access to one-to-one pastoral and spiritual support, and access to a network of people from across social sectors.
Members of Salem United Church of Christ regularly engage through worship attendance, contributions of time in service to the community and the greater good, money to support the ministry and missions of Salem UCC, and commitment to Salem UCC's mission statement: Faith in Action. Faith in Action is a commitment to live more like Jesus in how we give, love, serve, and treat one another. All people are welcome, but all behaviors are not. If you wish to terminate your church membership, contact the church office.
