Our Mission is Faith in Action

"Preach the Gospel--use words if necessary."                         (Saint Francis of Assisi)

We serve in our community

At Salem Church, we "get our hands dirty" in local, hands-on mission projects with partners in our community.  These include:  a community garden to supply fresh produce to local food banks; survival packs for the homeless, in partnership with area shelters; regular mission projects with Farmington Neighborhood House, The Ruth Ellis Center, Baldwin Center/Pontiac; the Salvation Army; Botsford Senior Sevices, Haven Shelter, Oakland County Foster Services, and Toys for Tots.

We serve in our world

We serve in Christ's name through ministries around the world.  Among our mission partners are: Bread for the World, Church World Service blanket program, Kiva micro loans,  30 Hour Famine through Word Vision, CROP Walk against hunger. One Great Hour of Sharing, Neighbors in Need, and continued sponsorship of a child in Ecuador through Child Fund International.
